Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. What is PostalCare? A. PostalCare is an email management system designed for large organizations to reduce the number of unwanted emails being processed by the real SMTP server. Our tests have shown PostalCare to block over 95% of unwanted email using just the default policies without risk of incurring false positives. Q. What are "false positives"? A. False positives are valid (good) emails that are blocked as spam. The default policies activated in PostalCare do not use any kind of heuristic spam detection methods by scanning the subject lines or body text... instead, spam and other unwanted emails (such as viruses) are detected by the way they are sent (behavior). Q. I already have an anti-virus solution. Can I also run PostalCare? A. Yes. PostalCare can be run simultaneously with any other anti-virus and anti-spam solutions. This is a great way to enhance existing solutions to further protect your organization from the continuous onslaught of unwanted email. Q. What is required to install and run PostalCare? A. A single 2GHZ system with 1 GB of memory and 50 GB of hard disk space is required. PostalCare will work with any Windows-based SMTP server, and can be installed gradually to prevent any disruption in email flow. PostalCare can also be run in a pass through mode where all emails are delivered to the real SMTP server, but the statistics will display what would have been blocked if PostalCare was actively blocking unwanted email. Q. Who are you people anyways?
